Majoring in Applied Mathematics

Welcome to my page. I am passionate about programming, math, and biology. I’m interested in furthering my education computer science, as well as potential positions in the tech industry.

Research Role

For a more thorough breakdown of my experiences, refer to my CV.

As a developer working on BINDSnet, I am implementing the Forward-Forward Algorithm within the BindsNET framework using PyTorch for spiking neural networks.

As a researcher in the Montell Lab, I used MatLab to perform a 3D image segmentation of large dataset using Ilastik, enabling accurate identification of cellular boundaries for statistical analysis.

As a researcher in the Biological Control, Computing, and Learning Laboratory, I utilize both computational and laboratory techniques to contribute to bioinformatics research.

Current Projects:

Genetic sequence clustering using unsupervised clustering algorithms and applications in mapping genotype to phenotype

  • Developing a genetic clustering algorithm using a k-means clustering algorithm. Comparing genotype with phenotype using statistical methods.
  • Methodologies: Python, Tensorflow, Scikit-learn, Biopython

E. coli-Based Genetic Circuit Displaying Hysteresis

  • Creating a E. coli-Based Geentic Circuit Displaying Hysteresis.
  • Methodologies: PCR, colony PCR, Gel Electrophoresis, Gel Extraction, Gibson Assembly, Golden Gate Assembly, Mathematical Modeling (Matlab)
